What You’ll Need
One of the great things about this project is that it doesn’t require a long list of materials. The pouch and applique pieces don’t need much fabric at all, so this project is perfect for using up those saved scraps!
To make the Dachshund Pouch, you’ll need:
Fabric – This project works best with cotton fabrics, such as quilting cottons, decorator fabrics, or lightweight denim. If you’re new to sewing zipper pouches, I recommend starting with quilting cotton, as it’s less bulky and easier to handle.
Scraps for the dachshund applique – Small pieces in different colors will help bring your dachshund to life! You’ll also need a little fabric or felt for the dimensional ear.
Fusible fleece interfacing – This helps add structure and softness to your pouch, giving it a professional shape.
Heat n Bond Lite - Heat n Bond Lite is a paper backed, double sided, iron on adhesive used for bonding fabric.
