What are PDF Sewing Patterns?
PDF sewing patterns, also called digital sewing patterns, are sewing patterns that are provided in an electronic format, such as a PDF file, for you to print at home. Upon purchase a file is sent via email for you to download and print. No paper copies of the patterns are sent.
Are these patterns suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. My patterns are designed for beginners and written with at least one photo for every step, so you can always see exactly what to do, not just read about it. If you've sewn a straight seam before, you can make these.
When will I receive my pattern?
Shortly after payment you will receive an email containing the PDF file/s for your pattern. If you haven't received an email within 15 minutes, please contact me at vicki@vickielle.com.au. Remember to check your spam or junk folder in case it went there.
How do I download my pattern?
Simply click the button contained in the email you will receive after purchase. Your files will then be available to print from the folder on your computer where your downloads are normally sent.
How many files will there be to download?
Normally there will be two files to download, one for the sewing instructions and one for the printable pattern pieces. Sometimes, if it's a simple pattern, there may only be one file which contains both the instructions and pattern pieces.
How do I print my pattern?
All patterns are designed to be printed on regular home printers using either A4 or letter paper. Instructions are provided with each pattern.
How do I put the pattern pieces together?
Some pattern pieces may need to be joined together as indicated on those pieces. This can be done using regular sticky tape.
Are seam allowances already included?
Yes, seam allowances have already been included on all pattern pieces.
Do I need any special equipment or materials?
No, not usually. Most patterns can be completed using a sewing machine and basic sewing supplies. If any particular supplies are required it will be noted in the item description so you can be aware of this before purchase.
Can I sell items made from your patterns?
My patterns are for personal use only, so items made from them aren't to be sold. You're very welcome to sew them for yourself, or as gifts for family and friends. The patterns themselves also can't be shared, copied, or distributed.
